Summary
The calculators on this site run in your browser. The measurements you enter are not sent to us and are not stored. We do not ask you to create an account, and the site does not currently set cookies or use analytics.
Information we receive
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server automatically records technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser's user-agent string. We use it to keep the site running, to investigate errors and to protect it from abuse, and we keep it for a limited period.
- Messages you send us. If you email thegravelcalculator@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to reply and to improve the site.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself does not set cookies and does not store information in your browser. If that changes, for example when advertising is enabled, this page will be updated and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent first.
Advertising
The site is not currently showing ads. We may display advertising through Google AdSense in the future. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites. Where required, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, this will only happen after you have given consent through a consent notice on the site. Where the site is hosted
The site is served from a server in the European Union (Germany). Server logs stay on that server and are not sold or shared for marketing.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it, except where the law requires it or where it is needed to run the site, for example with the hosting provider.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email thegravelcalculator@gmail.com. Because we do not keep accounts, we may need your IP address and the approximate time of your visit to find anything related to you in our logs.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and the effective date above will change with it.
